Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga

The Ashtanga Vinyasa yoga is a dynamic practice. The postures (asanas) are organized by series and are linked by dynamic transitions (vinyasas). The breath (ujjay) is essential, and the main difference between Ashtanga yoga and gymnastic or stretching is the synchronization of breath and movement, each one corresponding to an inhalation or exhalation. The series are organized in order to involve each part of the body.
The postural and breath work quiets the mind, reconnects the body and the spirit, releases tensions, strengthens the body, and evacuates bodily toxins and stress.

I teach different kinds of yoga based on my practice and experience.

Uthita Hasta Padangustasana

Vinyasa Flow

Vinyasa flow is based on Ashtanga Vinyasa yoga. It allows variations from the Ashtanga series but still focuses on the synchronization of breath and movement in a dynamic flow in order to procure peace, reconnect body and mind while improving strength and flexibility.
Vinyasa flow can be taught in a more or less dynamic path according to the level of the class. It can be either a preparation to the Ashtanga Vinyasa yoga primary series or a strong practice for advanced practitioners.

Hatha Yoga

Hatha yoga is the most widely practiced form of yoga in western countries.
It is based on alignment, tones up the muscles, increases body flexibility and improves concentration.
A session is composed of standing positions, balancing positions, forward bends, backbends, twists and finishes with relaxation.

Kids Yoga

In February 2009, I attended a 2 days Kids yoga teacher training following the Sun Yoga philosophy.
Based on Kundalini Yoga, with its wonderful dharma of selfless service and mindful action, it is appropriate and relevant for children growing up in today’s challenging world.
His aim is, by games and other ludic activities, to introduce the practical spirituality of yoga, to teach classical yoga postures, to show the importance of breath, and more generally to introduce the 8 limbs of yoga.
